Ingredients
  1. 1/3 cup chopped dark chocolate
  2. 2 tablespoons butter, cut into cubes
  3. 1/2 teaspoon fleur de sel
  4. 1 cup pecan halves
What to do?
If you are using a microwave, combine the chocolate butter, and fleur de sel in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on low, stirring occasionally, until fully melted. Or to use a double boiler, pour an inch or so of water into a small saucepan and bring it to a simmer. Combine the chocolate, butter, and fleur de sel in a heatproof bowl that'll sit on the saucepan with out touching the water. Set the bowl on the pan and heat, stirring often, until fully melted.
Let the chocolate mixture cool until it's about body temperature. Add the pecans, and stir until the pecans are completely coated in chocolate. Pour the pecan mixture onto a parchment-lined sheet pan and cool(preferably in the freezer) until the chocolate hardens completely.
Chop the hardened chocolate-covered pecans into a 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces. They can be used immediately or stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.
